Should you take an SEO course online or in person?

Search engine optimisation, or SEO, is a very popular area of technology right now. Because of this, many professionals are becoming more interested in learning SEO, whether it's to learn how to write copy that's good for search engines or to become an SEO consultant or a website optimizer, etc. There are many SEO courses available online and in person, and there are also ebooks and DVDs on the subject. So how do you decide which to pick? Is there a better choice than the other? Call us for Digital Marketing Course in Gurgaon.

As the owner of an SEO writing business and the creator of a course that teaches this skill both online and offline, I get questions like this all the time. One possible student sent me an email with the following questions:

You have an ebook on SEO copywriting. Does some of this overlap with what's in that book? How is the ecourse different from the live training?

Take an SEO class online or in person? Here are 3 questions to help you decide.

Here are three questions you can ask yourself to help you decide whether it's better for you to learn SEO online or in person.

I. Can I pay for training in person? Most of the time, it costs less to take an online class because neither you nor the person who made the class have to pay extra money. So, if you can't afford an offline SEO course, it doesn't matter if you think it would be better for you. So, start by answering this question.

How much do I know already?

If you already know a fair amount about SEO, an online class might work for you because you won't need the help that many newbies do. Call us for Digital Marketing Course in Gurgaon.

On the other hand, if you don't know much about SEO and find terms like "blackhat tactics," "latent semantic indexing," "meta tags," "reciprocal links," "stemming," and "static content" confusing, an in-person class is usually a better choice.

How can I learn?

We all learn in different ways. Some people do fine by doing their own research on ideas and building on them. Before they can understand something, some people need a source of information (like an instructor) to explain it to them and let them ask questions as needed.

For example, I taught myself SEO by researching, reading, and putting ideas to the test. But I'm not very good at math. Before I can fully understand, I need someone who knows more than me to explain it to me and let me ask questions.

The two ways of learning are not better or worse; they are just different. Which side do you take?

If you're what I call a "independent" learner in this area, then an offline SEO class might work for you. If you want to learn more about search engine optimisation, you should probably take an in-person SEO course.

Online or offline, it's important to remember this about taking an SEO course:

No matter which option you choose, know that SEO is something you will always be learning about. This is because search marketing and the companies and tools that make it work (like Google) are always changing. Google's search algorithm can change, so a site that did well one day might be buried on page 1,000 the next.

Once you know the basics, though, it's just like being a professional in any other field where things change all the time, like being a lawyer or a doctor. All you have to do to be successful is keep your skills sharp. Call us for Digital Marketing Course in Gurgaon.
